Conservatory Builders Offering Services to Norwich, Great Yarmouth, and Throughout Norfolk

With more than 3500 conservatories installed by our Company in the past 24 years, Castle Windows are truly one of the most experienced conservatory builders in the greater Norwich and Great Yarmouth areas. The expression "you can’t buy experience" has probably never been more relevant. Virtually every potential problem, awkward situation or non-standard design, has been researched, dealt with and learnt from by our team of designers, support staff, builders and fitters.

What Makes Our Conservatories Unique?

Castle Windows believe it is vital to begin with a good foundation and for this reason we start with a footing depth of a minimum 600mm and in some cases if we are not happy with soil conditions, we will go deeper. We are only too aware of the implications of skimping on this part of the project, having seen numerous problems that have arisen from shallower footings provided by less diligent conservatory companies.

Our experienced conservatory builders then construct your brickwork to the highest standards possible using bricks and mortar that are as close a possible to the existing brickwork on your property. Brickwork is tied into existing walls and all cavities are insulated giving a 'U value' of 0.5.

Floors contain not only damp-proof membrane but also insulation to give further protection against heat loss.

Rainwater from conservatories is taken away into a new soakaway constructed by our builders or connected into existing rainwater drainage systems.

Due to the need for stability in high Norfolk winds, we ensure our conservatory, we ensure our frames are the strongest available and we therefore use the Liniar 6 chamber system, whilst our competitors frames are generally 3 chambers – the added insulation properties of the 8 chamber frames are obvious.

High security locks with night vent facility are fitted as standard giving you further peace of mind. All sealed units are made with toughened glass for added safety and are 28mm in depth. If your budget allows we recommend upgrading your sealed units with the addition of Argon Gas, warm edge spacer bars and Planitherm heat retaining glass, resulting in a 'U value' of 1.1.

Internal sills are provided in a variety of colours using a hard wearing product made by kitchen worktop manufacturers, thereby giving a non-scratch surface which gives an attractive finish for the life of the conservatory.

Offering A Variety of Sturdy Conservatory Roofing Materials

Without doubt the most important part of your conservatory is the roof. Castle Windows have researched several manufacturers with a view to offering a roof that is not only pleasing to the eye but also capable of withstanding everything our unpredictable climate can throw at it without leaks or draughts. For this reason there is only one choice as far as we are concerned – Ultraframe Plc, produce a selection of roof systems that were given a 25 year life expectancy in independent tests and currently hold more than 300 worldwide patents on their products. We offer a selection of glazing products for your conservatory roof, including Athermic heat-shield multi-wall polycarbonate, foil inserts and the latest glass technology featuring Pilkington’s amazing self cleaning glass, backed up with a blue top glass to give heat protection and Planitherm and Argon Gas to give added insulation.

Finally, we seal your conservatory to your house wall and protect it further with lead flashing.
